David Smith

David Smith has over eight years of experience in public accounting. He currently serves in the Firm’s Private Foundation practice.

In this role, David communicates with the client’s management team, anticipates accounting issues, carefully monitors the progress of each engagement, coordinates with team managers, issues reports on a timely basis and identifies meaningful recommendations to improve governance and operations. His responsibilities include overseeing team members to ensure the timeliness and accuracy of the financial reports.

Since joining the Firm, David has also been involved with CFO/COO service engagements, providing back office operations for large private foundations with complex investment portfolios and robust grantmaking programs, as well as private operating foundations with large infrastructure projects.
