PKF O’Connor Davies Updates Remote Work Program to Offer Greater Flexibility and Enhanced Client Service

‘Schedule Your Work Week’ policy advances current program, setting industry standard for productivity and work-life balance

PKF O’Connor Davies, LLP, one of the nation’s largest accounting, tax, and advisory firms, announced today its “Schedule Your Work Week” telecommuting program, a flexible work policy that empowers employees to decide which days they will come into the office each week. The program, among the most flexible in the industry, is designed to foster the highest levels of collaboration between employees who want to return to the office and those who wish to maintain a hybrid working model. It ensures team member safety while providing the resources needed to continue to deliver the superior service and personalized attention clients have come to expect.

“When stay-at-home orders were announced last year, we had to adapt quickly and develop remote work policies that kept our team safe and allowed us to maintain our exceptional standard of client service,” said Kevin J. Keane, Managing Partner at PKF O’Connor Davies. “I’m proud to say that even with all the challenges they faced, our team did not miss a beat. More than a year later, we’ve had time to develop a thoughtful update to our remote work policy that deeply aligns with our culture of collaboration and teamwork and ensures all of our team members can continue to deliver high-caliber work.”

The “Schedule Your Work Week” policy builds upon a successful pilot program first developed at the outset of the COVID-19 pandemic. Under the enhanced policy, the Firm recognizes each employee’s specific life circumstances and gives them the flexibility to work in the way that best positions them for success. While some positions inherently will require more in-office time, the policy does not establish a minimum number of onsite days most employees will be required to be present for. The policy does not eliminate employees’ responsibility for applicable, work-related travel, which has resumed with the lifting of certain pandemic-related restrictions.

“The Firm has always prided itself on staying ahead of the industry curve in regard to supporting our employees, and ‘Schedule Your Work Week’ is proof positive of that,” said Dawn Perri, Chief Human Resources Officer at PKF O’Connor Davies. “With this new policy, we sought to create an environment that places each of our employees in a position to develop a more robust
team-oriented approach to their daily responsibilities and enhance the camaraderie and team spirit that are treasured hallmarks of our Firm culture.”

PKF O’Connor Davies has 14 offices in six states and continues to expand through organic growth and acquisitions on the East Coast. It has supported this growth with a strategic combination of promoting from within coupled with tactical external hires.
