John Bianca has more than 13 years of public accounting experience specializing in audits of not-for-profit organizations, including charter schools, charter management organizations, other educational organizations, social service agencies and organizations receiving government funding. John performs audits using the requirements of Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS) by assessing the application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and the Uniform Grant Guidance (UGG). John’s main area of focus for the Charter School clients are single audits where he manages more than 35 single audits annually.
John is involved in managing all aspects of audit engagements from planning and administrative to issuance of final audited financial statements and filing of audits with the Federal Audit Clearinghouse for UGG audits. His responsibilities include training and supervising staff, planning, coordinating fieldwork, drafting financial statements and footnotes and presenting at client board meetings.
