This session will provide an overview of the pending SEC cyber security rules, how they will impact the alternative investment industry and strategies for management company, portfolio companies and investments. Panelists will discuss the specific requirements that firms must adhere to: conducting risk assessments, implementing written policies and procedures and providing employee training on cybersecurity, explore the potential consequences and damage of noncompliance. The focus of the remainder of the session will be on identifying and mitigating cyber risks, establishing incident response plans, and engaging with third-party vendors to ensure they comply with the new rules.
