Michael A. Provini

Michael A. Provini works in the Financial Services Practice Group at the Firm. Michael has more than 20 years of public accounting experience and expertise in audit, tax and consulting services for a variety of financial service clients including hedge funds, fund of funds, private equity funds, offshore funds, master-feeder structures, commodity pools, private foundations, employee benefit plans, family offices and registered investment advisors. He is responsible for coordinating and managing the audit and attest services for the Firm’s Financial Services Group. His extensive product portfolio includes PIPES, long and short securities, private equity, commodities and futures, various debt instruments and other derivatives including, but not limited to, options, warrants and swaps. In addition, he performs monthly and quarterly reviews of investment partnerships and comments on organizational structures and fund documents.

In addition to client responsibilities, Michael is actively involved in the Firm’s Continuing Professional Education program and assists in determining the curriculum and lectures on industry related topics for in-house training seminars including valuation of financial instruments, partner allocations, recent accounting standards updates and financial statement presentations. Michael presents industry guidance to external participants through the Financial Service Group’s Knowledge Share seminar program. He also serves on the Firm’s accounting and auditing committee.
