Joseph R. Bodan is a member of the Executive Tax Committee, providing quality control oversight for the entire tax department. He has 30 years of experience advising private equity/venture capital funds, high-net-worth individuals, and closely-held and emerging-growth companies in the broadcasting, real estate, manufacturing and distribution, shipping, technology, professional services, and venture capital industries. Joseph also acts as a merger and acquisition consultant.
A recognized industry expert, Joseph has considerable knowledge of international, choice of entity, initial structuring, state and local, equity compensation, succession planning and transactional tax matters. He also completed a concentrated corporate curriculum at the University of Chicago Graduate Business School, focusing on corporate strategy, operational efficiencies and organizational psychology.
Prior to joining the Firm, Joseph spent more than 20 years working for national accounting firms and served as a partner-in-charge of the fifth largest firm in the United States. He has authored numerous articles on behalf of the accounting industry and is a frequent speaker at conferences regarding closely-held businesses.
