Chris Migliaccio has nearly 20 years of experience in advisory tax services and leads the M&A tax practice. He also has experience with providing international tax consulting services. Prior to joining PKF O’Connor Davies, Chris worked at two “Big Four” accounting firms in their M&A and international tax practices.
Chris specializes in providing structuring and tax advice on both the buy and sell-side of M&A transactions. He works across a range of industries, with a particular focus on professional services businesses, including architecture and engineering firms. Chris helps clients understand and navigate the tax implications of selling their business, ensuring they’re positioned for a smooth and tax-efficient transaction. In addition, Chris regularly leads the due diligence process for M&A transactions. The organization’s transaction advisory team has been named Service Provider of the Year by the M&A Advisor for three consecutive years, 2022 to 2024.
Chris has expertise in providing consultation on international tax matters, including cross-border transactions, business restructurings and complex compliance issues for multinational corporations, partnerships, private equity funds and high-net-worth individuals. Chris is also the organization’s Employee Retention Credit (ERC) leader, having assisted clients hundreds of clients in a wide range of industries.
As one of the organization’s most prolific thought leaders, Chris has written extensively on a wide range of tax topics. He is also a co-author of treatise-length discussions in several areas of international tax. He has authored articles for publications such as Law360 and Checkpoint News and has been quoted in Newsday and Bloomberg News. Chris is also a frequent speaker at industry and tax-related conferences.
